I am an ecological designer currently working toward a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Washington Seattle. I grew up in the “Columbia” Plateau of Eastern Washington and enjoyed hiking and exploring the wild lands outside of the town I grew up in as a kid. However, I didn’t come to recognize and appreciate the natural beauty of our shrub steppe ecosystem until I began to learn about ecology. Now I am an avid proponent of protecting sagebrush shrub steppe habitat and bringing this habitat into our cities and towns. My passion in ecological design is native and dryland design in the shrub steppe of Eastern Washington, where I intend to practice design after graduation. I am particularly interested in connecting native ecology with urban systems and creating public designs that foster connection and inspire stewardship of our ecosystem. To learn more about me, you can look at my various projects and blog post(s) on this website.

I practice design on the ancestral lands of the Plateau peoples or the Coast Salish peoples, who have stewarded these ecosystems since time immemorial.
